Our media training is led by Dan Moyane, who is regarded as one of South Africa’s modern day broadcast greats, with nearly 4 decades of newsroom, field and studio experience in radio and television.
Our training approach is basically two-fold:
• Digital Media Training Overview
• Digital Platform Interview Etiquette
The first part of the training focuses on understanding the current changes in the media landscape in its various forms, including streaming. We also discuss how media works and the importance of media engagement during this digital age.
The benefits of the training include practical ways to prepare and develop key messages, techniques on how to conduct yourself, look and feel, and tone, how to handle tough questions, etc.
The simulated real-time interview is played back and reviewed with appropriate analysis that builds confidence.
We conclude by summarising the key take-outs in the form of main lessons and tips.
What we cover:
• Changing Media Landscape
• Media Engagement
• Key Aspects for video chat
• The do’s and don’ts during an interview, being mindful of the journalist’s agenda and not losing track of your key messages
Our content is dynamic and our approach is interactive because we believe that when participants are actively engaged in the training, better results can be achieved.
Each participant will receive a document with soundtracks of their recorded session and appropriate written feedback with relevant guidelines.
